I  have never enjoyed having someone else tell me what to do, how to do it, and when to do it.  (Makes me wonder how I survived boot camp, more less seven years in the USAF Reserves.)   Unfortunately, most jobs are just that - someone else telling you what to do, how to do it, and when to get it done - which is probably why I never established a life career.  I was always looking for something else. 

In 1981, I was introduced to the Shaklee opportunity by a friend in San Diego.  I immediately saw something that could provide the time and freedom I was looking for as well as giving me a chance to really make a difference.

 I  have been happy working in the legal field, most recently as a family law paralegal since 2013.  When Steve and I married in 2012, I was not convinced that being an entrepreneur, especially in a multi-level marketing company, which my first husband and I had tried, unsuccessfully, for many years, was the way to become financially successful and have money for retirement.  However, at age 61 I have come to realize I will not be able to retire unless and until something changes and Steve and I can generate enough income to pay off our credit cards and replace my salary.  Even more scary is the thought that even if I can afford to retire, we will not be able to go or do anything we enjoy, such as traveling, going on cruises, attending baseball games, and going to jazz festivals, in our retirement.  Sitting home all day is not my idea of retirement.

 We searched for quite some time to find an answer to our situation. It was during our search that we realized there are a lot of others just like us who are also searching for better options for making a living, but they usually end up getting sucked into Internet scams and online rabbit holes.

 This is one of the reasons this site was created. We wanted to help others navigate the jungle the Internet has now become and share what we've learned about creating a lifestyle of personal freedom as an online entrepreneur. 

We're also looking to connect and work with like-minded people. And with the recent financial crisis, we feel that what we have to share is more important than ever.
